  • The Motorcycle Safety Foundation

    Since March 1973, the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) has set internationally recognized standards of excellence in motorcycle rider education and training. The MSF works with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), state governments, the military and other organizations to improve motorcyclist education, training and operator licensing.

  • ATV Safety Institute

    The ATV Safety Institute (ASI), a not-for-profit division of the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA), was formed in 1988 to implement an expanded national program of all-terrain vehicle (ATV) safety education and awareness. ASI's primary goal is to promote the safe and responsible use of ATVs, thereby reducing crashes and injuries that may result from improper operation by the rider.

    The Motorcycle Safety Foundation's DirtBike SchoolSM is a hands-on, one-day training class for off-road motorcycle riders aged six and older. The course focuses on basic skills for the inexperienced rider and covers responsible riding practices, the importance of wearing proper safety gear, and environmental awareness.
